Empower School of Health (ESH) is a leading global organisation specialising in digital learning and capacity building. ESH has worked in over 100 countries and multiple languages to strengthen the institutional and human resource capacity of global health and humanitarian programmes. This is achieved through the design and development of e-Learning content, learning management systems (including design, deployment, hosting, and maintenance), training and capacity-building exercises, development of innovative learning technologies, and conducting impact assessment and measurement activities.
To date, ESH has developed and delivered more than 10 lac hours of capacity-building content to over 2,50,000 public health and supply chain professionals across countries where it operates. ESH supports key healthcare organisations and decision-makers worldwide, including government agencies, donor organisations, academic institutions, CSOs, NGOs, life sciences and healthcare companies, consumer health and medical device manufacturers, and others.

Our Approach
Empower School of Health follows a unique 7-D approach to developing learning content, which includes: Data collection, Diagnosing the challenge, Designing the learning approach, Developing the solution, Delivering the product through existing institutions, Documenting the learning, and Disseminating the findings through publishing and advocacy.
At each stage, ESH utilises a well-balanced team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) alongside digital learning and technology experts.
The entire design and delivery process is guided by domain experts, ensuring that the solution is data-driven, technologically advanced, and strategically aligned for maximum feasibility and impact.
- Data collection: We understand the importance of data collection & use assessments – (both pre & post) as part of our approach. Through collaborative means with our partners & in-house team of specialists, Empower collects data for the relevant issue at hand, to make the problem statement more quantitative. This our project approach output based.
- Diagnosis: We begin by understanding the organiszation’s vision, knowledge gaps, and priority areas for capacity building of their staff. We also assess the country’s digital penetration, digital literacy, and access to digital technologies (connectivity and hardware).
- Design the learning approach: Having diagnosed the problem, we design the learning approach by using different taxonomies. Our in-house team of pedagogical experts, anthropologists and subject matter experts design learning approaches specific to cadres, ages, etc.
- Develop: With our designed approach, we begin to develop blueprints, technical curricula, smart classrooms, and digital platforms.
- Deliver: It’s now time to pilot test the digital content and the digital platform; we conduct UAT (User Acceptability Testing), collect feedback, adapt the content and software, and then roll out the learning solution at scale through virtual and face-to-face training.
- Documentation: Having completed all the previous five steps, we collect data and conduct analysis using customised dashboards to evaluate learners’ interests, knowledge, practices, and impact.
- Dissemination: We perform blended training, advocacy and outreach activities through our grassroots implementation partners, ensuring sustainability and scalability.
