Job Summary
The Senior Visual Designer will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity and user experience of digital learning solutions within the e-learning industry. The ideal candidate is a highly creative, detail-oriented designer who can translate complex educational concepts into engaging, intuitive, and accessible visuals. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including instructional designers, developers, and subject matter experts to deliver visually compelling digital learning content for a variety of audiences.
Key Responsibilities

Visual Design Leadership:
- Lead the visual design process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with instructional goals and learning objectives.
- Define and maintain visual standards and best practices for e-learning modules, ensuring consistency across projects.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, instructional designers, and developers to integrate visuals seamlessly with content.

User-Centered Design:
- Develop user-centered design solutions that enhance the learner’s experience and engagement.
- Conduct user research, gather feedback, and iterate designs to improve usability, accessibility, and learner satisfaction.

Digital Content Creation:
- Design a variety of visual assets such as infographics, illustrations, UI elements, icons, and animations to support learning content.
- Create visually engaging interactive e-learning modules, web interfaces, mobile applications, and videos using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or other design platforms.
- Ensure designs are optimized for a range of platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile) and are responsive across different devices.

Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with instructional designers to understand content requirements and translate them into compelling visual designs.
- Participate in regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior designers and peers.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure proper implementation of design concepts, maintaining visual integrity across platforms.

Project Management:
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality work is consistently delivered.
- Communicate design strategies and concepts effectively to stakeholders, both visually and verbally.

Innovation & Trends:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in visual design, UX/UI, and digital learning to continually innovate and enhance design solutions.
- Proactively seek out and recommend new tools, techniques, and technologies to improve the design process and learner outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree: in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Interaction Design, or related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification in e-learning or instructional design is a plus.
- 5+ Years of Experience: as a visual designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital design work in e-learning, digital learning, or educational content.
- Proficiency: in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Sketch, Figma, and prototyping tools.
- Strong Understanding: of UX/UI principles, accessibility (WCAG standards), and responsive design.
- Experience: in motion graphics, animation, or video production is a plus.
- Excellent Communication Skills: for articulating feedback effectively.
- Ability: to work independently and in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
