Job Summary

The Senior Visual Designer will play a crucial role in shaping the visual identity and user experience of digital learning solutions within the e-learning industry. The ideal candidate is a highly creative, detail-oriented designer who can translate complex educational concepts into engaging, intuitive, and accessible visuals. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including instructional designers, developers, and subject matter experts to deliver visually compelling digital learning content for a variety of audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Design Leadership:

Lead the visual design process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with instructional goals and learning objectives.
Define and maintain visual standards and best practices for e-learning modules, ensuring consistency across projects.
Collaborate closely with product managers, instructional designers, and developers to integrate visuals seamlessly with content.

User-Centered Design:

Develop user-centered design solutions that enhance the learner’s experience and engagement.
Conduct user research, gather feedback, and iterate designs to improve usability, accessibility, and learner satisfaction.

Digital Content Creation:

Design a variety of visual assets such as infographics, illustrations, UI elements, icons, and animations to support learning content.
Create visually engaging interactive e-learning modules, web interfaces, mobile applications, and videos using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or other design platforms.
Ensure designs are optimized for a range of platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile) and are responsive across different devices.

Collaboration & Teamwork:

Work closely with instructional designers to understand content requirements and translate them into compelling visual designs.
Participate in regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior designers and peers.
Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure proper implementation of design concepts, maintaining visual integrity across platforms.

Project Management:

Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality work is consistently delivered.
Communicate design strategies and concepts effectively to stakeholders, both visually and verbally.

Innovation & Trends:

Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in visual design, UX/UI, and digital learning to continually innovate and enhance design solutions.
Proactively seek out and recommend new tools, techniques, and technologies to improve the design process and learner outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree: in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Interaction Design, or related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification in e-learning or instructional design is a plus.
5+ Years of Experience: as a visual designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital design work in e-learning, digital learning, or educational content.
Proficiency: in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Sketch, Figma, and prototyping tools.
Strong Understanding: of UX/UI principles, accessibility (WCAG standards), and responsive design.
Experience: in motion graphics, animation, or video production is a plus.
Excellent Communication Skills: for articulating feedback effectively.
Ability: to work independently and in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
